I had to come out of my swirl-phobia and try making something different with wire.... And finally I made this simple double-heart wire ring, hope you like it :)

Materials Needed

To make this double-heart wire ring you'll need:
  1. Craft wire- 18-20 gauge,
  2. Jewelry pliers,
  3. Ruler,
  4. Mandrel.

First Heart

step (2).jpg
step (3).jpg
Hold the wire from an end, do not cut it from the bundle,

Measure and keep 3 cm of the wire straight from that end and then bend the wire using the looping plier as shown in the picture,
Now use the flat nose plier to bend the wire upwards to create the second half of the heart,
Again use the looping plier to bend the wire like the previous one,
Squeeze the center part using the flat nose plier,
Adjust the wire to complete the heart shape and wrap the extra part of the wire around the straight part.
Cut extra wire if needed.

Measuring the Ring Size

After making the first heart you'll need to measure the ring size and start making the second heart.

Measure the straight part of the wire, including the wrapped end.
Mark the ring size on the wire,
Make the next heart by bending the wire on the marked area.

Second Heart

Make the second heart similarly as the first one.
Remember that the ring size should include the straight part of the wire and any one heart, otherwise the ring would become larger than the required size.
After making the second heart, wrap extra wire around the straight part and cut the wire from the bundle.

Completing the Ring

Now simply wrap the straight part of the wire around the mandrel and your ring is ready!

Wasn't that easy? It doesn't take much time so you can make a bunch of these using colorful craft wires.

Enjoy!
