The simple dimple fidget is a home made toy that you can fidget about with and is really easy to make. You can pop the circle in the middle like the current popular rubber pop-its and simple dimples that are the current trend with children.

Supplies

  • A jar lid - a poping type!
  • A piece of cardboard
  • Some paints (acrylic paints)

Tools

  • hot glue gun
  • scissors
  • paint brushes
  • A pen or pencil
  • a paint pallet

Draw and Cut Out Your Cardboard.

First you need to get your jar lid and place it on your cardboard. Then you get you pen or pencil and draw around the jar lid making a circle and in that circle you need to draw a small circle the same size as the poping bit on your jar lid. Next you need to draw your shape (a peach shape) around the circle. After that you need to cut out the shape you made and put it on the cardboard and draw around it making another one for the back also for extra strength you can cut out an other cardboard template. Then you take the one with the mini circle in the middle and cut the mini circle out so if you place it on your jar lid you can pop the poper.

Secondly you need to get your hot glue gun and put glue all over the cardboard with no hole and glue it to the other one without a mini hole in it. Then you need to put glue on the back of the jar lid and glue the cardboard that are glued together on to the back. After that you need to get your cardboard cut-out with the hole in it and glue it to the front of the jar lid. Also with the remans of the cardboard you need to cut two strips of it the width of the jar and cardboard that you have already glued together. Then you need to glue them to the sides of the cardboard so you can paint the sides later. After that you need to go around the front and back with the glue gun filling in the sides.

Third you need to mix or put pink paint in a paint pallet and add some orange paint paint for the colour you need. Then you need to paint the peach siple dimple that colour and let it dry. You cold leave it for about an hour to dry ready to paint the back. After it is dry you can flip it over and paint the other side in the same colour. Then you can put it to dry and when it is drying you can mix up some grey paint into a pallet. When the back of your simple dimple is dry you can paint your poping thing in the middle of the jar lid grey to make it the stone. After that you can leave it to dry for a few minets before putting some small blobs of orange pant on the front and blending them in with a paint brush or a sponge. Then you can let it dry for a few minutes.

When your simple dimple fidget has dried you can pop it as many times as you want. Also you can make loads of other different simple dimple figet by using different shapes, sizes and colours maybe even experementing with two jar lids just like my sister tried to do.
