Simple Desk Organizer Tray

Step 1: Problem

This organizer tray doesn't only keep your space slightly decluttered, it helps you organize all of your small things in case when you need to quickly move spaces, you can just grab the tray and leave. It comes in many different colors and is easily customizable.

As someone who is very messy and constantly losing things (especially as an artist, where I keep many different pens/pencils on me at any given time), I have trouble looking for my stuff, so I wanted to make something portable and wouldn't take much space.

I took inspiration from phone stands and a simple and chic style.

1. I wanted a thin(ner) design so it's easy to carry it around/not as heavy when you put your items on the tray

2. I added a non-slip feature so you don't accidentally push the tray off a surface

3. Attachable backs for decoration (in case the user wants it for decoration)

4. A place to easily mount your phone so you don't have to hold it

I made it so that the tray has few details and is simple as it can be; though they can come in different models (e.g. the white tray with a cat cover)

Though I only show two colors in my designs, due to the simple nature of this tray, it can be easily customized/made out of different materials.

1. Had I had more time to work on this, I would have liked to add a feature for turnable backs (the attachable decor), so you could raise your platform.

2. Added more features (e.g. wireless charging)

3. Extended the tray for special pencil/marker mounts
