Simple Dabbing LED Switch

IMG_5456.jpg

In this project, you will make a stick figure switch that turns on two LED's when the stick figure dabs. All of the electronics are behind the construction paper using a threadboard.

Supplies

2 LED's

Copper tape

Coin shaped battery

Construction paper

glue

Threadboard

conductive thread

Assemble Construction Paper Assembly

Start by drawing the stick figure but leave out the dabbing arm. Then cut two eye holes big enough that the LED's can fit through. make a right arm that can hinge at the elbow and glue it to the figure as shown. Finally, tape two pieces of conductive tape through the back using copper tape. make sure they don't touch because this is going to be the switch

Making the Circuit

Assemble the LEDs as shown so the positive of both ends touch the magnet. Run the conductive thread across the positive leads of the LED and sandwich it between the board and the battery. Sandwich another thread to the top of the battery with a magnet.

Final Assembly

Attach one of the threads to the negative thread from the battery and the other to the negative of the LED's. Put the switch assembly carefully over the eyes and lay flat. Make the guy dab and watch him light up!
