Simple Crochet Ant
Hey Guys!! Here's a crochet ant I'd like to share with you all! This little fellas a lot bigger then the ants you've seen standing at 4" tall. whether you love them or hate em' here it is! ( but please don't hate them )
Ants form colonies withe one queen and many female workers to serve the queen and their colony. Ants act in what is known as a super organism, no single individual does anything for its own benefit. Its for the colony or nothing at all. They may seem pesky to some people but they are actually very helpful and important in the environment! They work as what I call the "clean-up crew" The scavenge for dead animals of any kind and clean it up!
Weaver ants in Thailand are actually used as little farmers! The ants are allowed to be on the orchard to protect from parasites and rotten food. The farmers set out lines from tree to tree so the ants can travel easier, this my friend is an fantastic example of even little things that people and animals can do if we cohesively work as a team.
