Simple Christmas Tree Card
How to make a quick and easy card.
Gather Materials
you will need:
2 sheets of paper (letter size or A4)
1 pair of scissors
Tape (double sided recommended, but any scotch tape works)
Green marking implements (crayons, pencils, pens, highlighter, marker, etc)
Fold Card
Take one sheet of paper, and fold it in half by lining up the short sides.
Turn paper 90 degrees and fold in half again.
You should now have a card.
Set this aside.
Draw the Trees
draw three triangles on the second sheet of paper.
See below for approximate sizes (side, side, base)
Triangle 1 : 1.5” x 1.5” x 1.5”
Triangle 2 : 2” x 2” x 3”
Triangle 3 : 3” x 3” x 4”
Color in Triangles
using the green writing implements, color in the triangles.
To make it look like a pine tree, use long strokes that go from the top point down to the base.
To add depth, use 2-3 shades of green.
Cut Out Triangles
cut out the triangles by cutting the sides straight, and curving the bottom.
Dry Fit the Tree
Grab the card we set aside a few steps ago.
Place the triangles on the card, with the largest at the bottom and the smallest on the top.
Trim as needed to make it look tree like. Once you’re happy with how it looks, go to the next step.
Tape the Tree Pieces
turn the triangles over.
Apply tape to the back of all three triangles. If using single sided tape, you will need to roll a piece so that you have a circle that is sticky all the way around before applying to the triangles.
Fasten the Tree
take the tree pieces, and put the, tape side down on your card.
Add a Message
write your message inside.
You’re now done.
Complete!
Go give your card to your special someone. Or whoever you need brownie points from.
