Simple Chicken Quesadilla
This set of instructions will show you how to make a simple chicken quesadilla using some basic ingredients that can be bought from Walmart or really any other grocery store or supermarket near your location. This is something I typically make for lunch whenever I get home from class and it is very easy to make. I make it with tiger sauce and it is almost always very good.
Supplies
- 2 cups of Tyson grilled and ready diced chicken breast, frozen
- 1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese (or any other cheese that you prefer)
- 1 tsp of paprika placed in a bowl
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 large flour tortilla
- 1 bottle of Tiger Sauce
Thaw Chicken
The frozen chicken needs to be thawed out for about 30 minutes before starting to cook. While they are thawing, you can get out the other ingredients and get prepared.
Set the Stove
Set the knob about halfway between low and high and wait for it to heat up.
Take Out One Tortilla and Cover Half of the Tortilla With Cheese
Add a Tablespoon of Butter Into the Pan
Add Chicken to the Pan
The serving size for the chicken is 3 ounces, but if you're like me and don't measure things, 2 cups should be perfect for the meal. I usually grab a couple of handfuls and purposefully add more so I have some extra pieces to snack on.
Add Paprika
After it begins to heat up, the paprika can be sprinkled over the chicken. You might not use all of the paprika, there will be paprika left over. After adding the paprika, mix the chicken around.
Add Tiger Sauce
Once the paprika has been added, you can begin to drizzle tiger sauce over the chicken. A light drizzle should be enough to add flavor, but some may enjoy more spice. It might also be a good idea to crack open a window or a door, because the sauce is spicy and when added to the pan, breathing in the fumes can lead to coughing.
Cook Chicken Until Lightly Seared
Remove Chicken Into a Bowl and Add to Tortilla
Cook Quesadilla Until Seared on Both Sides
I usually like mine a little more brown, but it can be seared until you are happy with how crispy it is.
