Simple Cat Feeding Toy

Our cat has a habit of eating his food so quickly that he then proceeds to vomit most of it back up. The goal here was to make a simple puzzle feeder that will slow down his eating and give him something to do other than sneak into the bathroom and shred toilet rolls to pieces.

Materials and Tools

  • Small empty plastic bottle

I used a drinking yoghurt bottle. Maybe a transparent bottle would be a better idea as it would allow the cat to see the food inside.

  • Dremel

Or any tool you fancy to make some holes in the bottle big enough for individual food pieces to fall out.

Method

Make a couple of holes in the bottle. Not too small or the food won't fall out, not too big or it will all come out at once.

Put your cat bait in the bottle and screw the lid back on.

It is at the point that you may find yourself in a titanic battle with your cat to stop him from eating the treats before they get in the feeder!

Finished!
