Simple Candle Holder "I Made It at TechShop"
This was my first project I created after taking the Laser Cutter SBU class at Tech Shop. I was Inspired by this candle holder https://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-Cut-Tea-Light-Candle-Holders/
I decided to make a larger one that would accommodate the larger 4" diameter glass jar candles you find at various bath stores and candle shops. I did all of my laser cutting at Techshop Pittsburgh on their Trotec laser cutter.

Design in Corel Draw
The staff at Techsop was great and directed me to a free easy to use box making website http://boxmaker.rahulbotics.com/ and after generating that file I edited it in Corel Draw. My wife wanted a steampunk feel so I created some simple gear artwork in Photoshop. Using the Trace Outline I created the cut lines for the silhouette. Any silhouette or artwork design can be used for the walls so I intentionally left the the sides blank in the CDR file for you to play with and customize.

LASER CUT WOOD
I used 1/4" birch plywood. All of the cutting was done at Techshop on their Trotec laser cutter.
Assemble and Enjoy.
Assembly is pretty self explanatory all you need is some wood glue. In my opinion I felt safer using the glass jar candles that keep the flame away from the plywood.
