Simple, But Elegant Cardboard Phone Stand

This cardboard phone stand is simple to make, but still very cool! You can make this phone stand using common household materials and its much cheaper to make than buying one. This is my first instructable, so put any feedback or helpful advice in the comment section. Hope you enjoy!
Step 1: Materials

Your don't need anything complex or fancy, just simple items that you can get if you look around in your house. You will need:
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil or pen
- Ruler or tape measure
- Glue (I used a hot glue gun)
- And of course, cardboard
Step 2: Creating the Stand Peices

For the main part of this phone stand, cut 2 2.5" x 5" cardboard rectangle. I used this first rectangle trace and cut out the second one.
Step 3: Assebling the Stand

Once you have both the cardboard pieces, its time to assemble the stand. Measure 1.5" from one of the longer sides of one rectangle and make a small notch by cutting out the space in between the two marks (try to cut a notch like how it is in the picture). Next, assemble and glue the two pieces like how its shown above.
Step 4: Adding Supports

You can use your phone stand the way it is right now, but it will fall apart the minute you put your phone on it. If you hot glue a small 2" x 2.5" cardboard rectangle underneath the phone stand, stand becomes strong enough to put a phone on it.
Step 5: Finishing Touches

To let the phone rest better and charge while its on the stand, cut four 0.5" x 1" rectangles. Glue two of them on each end of the stand on the bottom of the stand. Your phone can now be rested on the stand on top of the two rectangles without any problem while its charging. That's it! Your easy cardboard phone stand is ready. Hope you enjoyed! :D
