Sometimes, some of the easiest things seem to be the most difficult ones, and we get so amazed when we get to know the reality. Home decoration is one of the most challenging tasks, and we get so confused about it. But, there are many simple ways to decorate home with the products available at your home. Today, we will discuss one effortless and fun activity.

Moreover, it is one of the best ways to recycle and reuse waste products without requiring too many things. Without any delays, let's get straight to it.

Supplies

Before looking at the procedure, first, take a look at the things we will require.

  • Used Glass/Wine bottle
  • Spray Paint of your choice
  • Glass or Acrylic color
  • Hot Water
  • Yarn
  • Safety Gloves
  • Old Newspaper

Removing Paper Brand Label From the Bottle

Put the wine bottle in a bucket or tumbler of hot water for about 20 minutes. This will help in removing the brand sticker quickly. After removing the sticker, properly clean the bottle's inner side with soap or a cleaner to vanish the smell of wine from the bottle.

Painting the Bottle

After letting the bottle get dried for 15-20 minutes, we ready to paint it. If you are a beginner in using the spraypaint, you must keep a few things in mind.

  • Keep the bottle at least 6 inches away from the spray can while spraying.
  • Keep the spray paint bottle moving. If you don't, then the liquid particles get deposited one point and make a bigger droplet that will eventually flow away.
  • Always use safety gloves because there are chances that you might paint your fingers while spraying.
  • Use some old newspaper to prevent the paint's droplets from hitting the floor.

Leave the bottle in an open area or under a fan for 30- 45 minutes to let the paint dry.

Designing the Bottle

Here comes the most creative part of our project i.e., designing the bottle. The design varies from person to person and the level of creativity. I suggest you keep things simple, and it will look more classic.

For example, if you paint your bottle black, you can wrap a beige color yarn around the bottle's neck and foot using glue. There are hundreds of ways in which you can design your bottle and decorate your home with it. You can get more ideas from Sherwin Williams Black Friday 2020 Sale and grab some of their best deals.

Using Acrylic/Watercolor

As discussed above, we can make umpteen numbers of design on the bottle. We can draw some cartoon figures using acrylic colors. You must keep in mind that you cannot use acrylic colors on glossy spray paint, but it can be used on a matte base. So, plan this before starting your project.

You can also use clay to make designs and paint them using acrylic colors. They look so amazing.

Flaunt Your New Creation in Show-case

Now, your project has been completed. You can put the bottle in the show-case simply like this, or you can take some flowers and put inside it and use it as a flower pot/vase.
You can also design other glass products like a jar or tumbler and put them in your show-case. Just make sure that it is kept well and has minimum chances of falling; otherwise, all your hard work will go in vain.

I hope you liked it and will try it and will bring elegance to your home.
