Simple 24 Piece K'nex Gun Trigger Assembly (includes Example Pistol)

This is a small yet strong trigger that provides a great starting point for new designs. The strength comes from the firing pin pushing the trigger pin to lock itself in place. Because of how the trigger pin is angled slightly back, when the firing pin pushes on the trigger pin, it is pushed up and into the firing pin. Pulling the trigger releases this pressure, which releases the firing pin.

Assemble the firing pin holder, the back of the handle and the trigger separately, then connect everything together.

Photos show example barrel for 32mm rods. Clips are used for the bottom and it's loaded by dropping a piece in the top.
