Materials and Tools
Materials
- Two small shotgun shells
- One USB
- Foam/Tissue/Sponge
- Paper
- Red pen
- Electrical Tape
- Vice/Clamp
- Craft Knife
- File or Dremel
Stripping the USB
We need our USB to be as small as possible so it can fit in the two small shotgun shells, this means we need to remove the outer casing.
Using your craft knife pry at the edges of the case forcing it apart.
(The cases are generally pretty to take off)
You can now throw away any of the plastic casing
(Better yet recycle it !)

Preparing the Usb
Now you have removed the protective casing it would be a good idea to cover up the bare circuit board with a bit of electrical tape.
The tape will protect the circuit from short circuiting or getting damp.
(Still best not to go swimming with your USB :P )

Filing the Shells
Because of the small "lip" at tho bottom of the shell the two cases wont stand very close together.
To make them stand snug together we have to loose a bin of that "lip"
Clamp the shell in your vice/clamp and then use your dremel or hand file to flatten one side.
Repeat this process for both shells and check they fit together.

Cutting the Slots
Now we need to cut the slots in the sides of the shells so our USB can fit in.
First mark the shell with a pen to show how much to cut, this will prevent you from cutting too much and loosing the aesthetics of the shell.
Now you have marked the shell carefully cut a slot into the side with your craft knife, do this to both the shells.

Assembling the Case
Now we have the slots cut into our shells we can finish up the project
First put the USB into the slots, then for extra protection get some sponge/foam and your craft knife
Cut strips off and stuff them into the space surrounding the usb.
Once all the space is filled get some paper and cut two small disks, then trim them and glue to the tops of the shells. Once glued use a pen to colour them in so they blend in with the rest of the shell.
If you get lost then just look at the pictures or leave a message !
