Short Island Sweet Tea

Late at night with a craving for a Long Island Iced Tea, I decided to look up the ingredients. Due to my somewhat limited bar collection, a Long Island was out of the question. But the the craving was still there, could I create a similar drink? That was the beginning of the Short Island Sweet Tea.
Ingredients

- White Rum: 1 oz.
- Gin: 1 oz.
- Vodka: 1 oz.
- Simple Syrup (1 to 1 sugar to water ratio): 3/4 oz.
- Coke: Top off to taste.
*The liquor brands are not very significant for the cocktail. Most of the burn associated with the liquors are masked when mixed together.
In an old fashioned glass, add in the spirits and simple syrup over 3 ice cubes.
Stir ingredients and top with coke.
If you desire a slightly less sweet variation:

- cut a slice of lime
- spritz some of the juice into the cocktail
- rim the glass with the lime
- add in the lime
And there you have it, the Short Island Sweet Tea!
