Add a Pullstring to a Shop Light

In this video I'll show you how I took a basic shop light from Home Depot and changed it into a shop light that I can turn off with a pull string switch.

You will need:

4' 2LT Basic Shop light T12 $11.86

Westinghouse Fan Light Switch (with Pull Chain) $2.47

Remove cover from light and cut the black wire and splice the pull chain inline. Drill out hole in cover and attach pull chain. Reinstall cover.

Now you have a shop light that you can turn off with a pull switch.
