well i made a floating shoe rack i used a radiata pine wood 1x12 8 inch ,i had it cut at home depot for free and and i got 3 inch phillips buldge head screws the wood was like 40 dollars screws were like 9 and the spray cans i bought were 3 dollars. but the project was fun and pretty easy.

well i know i think i had to cut the wood by myself but i did not have the machines and getting it cut at home depot is a lot easier so i just grabbed a 1x12 8 inch wood told the worker to cut it into to one equal half and the other half to cut into 5 pieces of 8 inches i have 6 pieces because there was an extra one at home depot.

when i got back home i sanded down the sides and edges with some sand paper tats i had in the back but yea i was just hitting all the rough spots with the sand paper.

i measured 8 inch through out the hole bored but the middle piece wich you will see in a little bit has a bigger space but from the first part to the 3rd wood plank it is 8 inches apart. and i did the same on the backside to.

from here i just grabbed each 8inch plank and put it 8 inches apart i would use a little piece of wood to measure on the back side like a level to put the screws in better so it would come out more straighter. and the big space in the middle is 14 half inches so it is 2 8 inch pieces then the space of the 14 inch and then 2 8 inch pieces going down.
