Shoelace Ladder Bracelet

Here's a really easy bracelet that might just take a little bit of practice to get it right, but will be worth the effort and creativity! These shoelace ladder bracelets can be made within a snap of under 30 minutes!

What you will need for these colorful bracelets are...

• shoelaces (you'll need one for each bracelet)

• colored plastic drinking straws

• colored pony beads

• scissors

• Optional: small lighter (not shown)

First comes prep work. Cut the straws into small pieces, slightly shorter than the shoelace's aglet (the plastic pointy end of the shoelace).

Now, on to making the bracelet! First, take a piece of straw and thread it onto one end of the shoelace. Push it up until it roughly hits the middle. Now, grab the other end of the shoelace, and push it back through the straw to create a loop. From there, pull both ends tight until the straw sits in the middle with a small loop above it.

Now, comes the fun part: add a pony bead to each end and push them up to the straw.

From there, take a second piece of straw and thread that onto one end of the shoelace and push it up to the beads. Now, grab the other end, thread it, and push it back to form another loop. Now, pull both ends tight until the straw sits below the beads.

You're going to repeat this process, until you have reached the desired length of your bracelet.

To finish off, tie off the ends of the shoelace to form a bracelet. Trim the ends, and if desired, use a lighter to seal the ends of the lace.

Now, your bracelet is complete and ready to wear! Make more of these in a variety of sizes and color combinations, like I did here in these photos!
