For the first step you will assess the dimensions of the Shoe Box. Find the length (in inches), width, and height. Find the dimensions of the inside of the shoe box as well. Use a ruler to assess this. Then measure the dimensions onto the fabric and cut out the appropriate dimensions.

Shoe Box Cut Out (Optional)

For what I did, I cut out two small holes that fit the shape of my wooden top for the picnic box. The bottom of the wooden top and the holes fit like a puzzle piece. I did this before hot gluing everything.

Glue!

For this step, just glue! Use a hot glue gun and glue all dimensions onto the shoe box. It should match the dimensions. Make sure to include the bottom of the shoe box and the behind of the shoe box, that way there are no holes that show part of the shoe box.

Paint!

Now we paint! All you need to do is paint the wood with latex paint or paint that makes the wood shine! Paint the top of the shoe box as well with multiple layers and with acrylic paint that way the color of the shoe box originally does not show. Make sure to use your big paint brush and use paper to apply the paint on. Wash off paintbrush once finished.

After finished, wait for the paint to dry.

Now Thats It!
