Shipping Container Cafe

Hello! My name is Dihllyn Feichtl and I am a junior at High Point Regional High School. I have decided to create a coffee cafe out of a shipping container. This cafe can easily be folded and transported away. This is a perfect pop up cafe that can be brought to any event. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some coffee and desserts. I believe thats lots of people love coffee and I do myself. There was no going wrong with a easily transportable cafe.

Define the Problem

I began by defining the problem. I needed to create a project that fit the requiremenmts for this contest while also being open minded. I needed to create a design that was imaginable and temporary. I wanted to create something I would enjoy creating while also thinking of the real world. This all needed to be completed on May 27th, 2025.
Collect Information

I began to collect information. I did this by browsing Pinterest and google for ideas. I took in ideas for the outside and inside of my project. I thought about the aesthetics that I would like to incorporate. I collected ideas for the size and structure. This also gave me ideas for the decor and aestheitc I liked most.
Brainstorm/ Analyze Ideas

After collecting information I began to choose the exact size and what would suit the needs for the project. I choose what designs and type of doors I would like. I choose the inside and seating layout.
Revit Model

I began constructing my brainstorm ideas on Revit. I found a shipping container that I could model to my liking. I removed the door so I could have Dutch door for entry. I added a floor that could slide in and out of the container. The awning was added to protect customers who were seated outside. I added lots of seating so that the cafe can accompany multiple customers. Customers can now enjoy a cute, relaxing, and aesthetic place to enjoy coffee and desserts.
