"Shine Your Light" Keychain

This is a special keychain that was made to decorate a key ring. This is a fun and easy way to add some embellishment to your regular set of keys using a 3D-Printer.

Supplies

All you will need is a 3D Printer and the filament in the printer. You will use a website https://www.tinkercad.com/dashboard to create a prototype that you will send to the printer.

Create First Prototype

Go to the Tinker Cad website posted above. From there you will create the design you would like for your keychain such as the size, the quote, the font, etc. Be sure to add a little hole to slip the chain in so that you can add it to your key ring. The color on this prototype will not matter because the color of your keychain will be the color you choose for the filament in the printer.

Test First Prototype

Once you finish designing your keychain you can print it. This second prototype will be used to correct any mistakes you made on TinkerCad. For example, in the picture above, the keychain was too small so the wording was unclear and the printer wasn't able to distinctly show the words and quote that I chose. This step will help you see what corrections you need to make in order to improve your product.

Make Changes to Previous Prototypes

There is really no picture that can be used to describe this step. All that you need to do is increase or decrease the dimensions of your previous prototype and make sure that it fits you or your "client's" needs/wants.

Print Final Product

As soon as you make your final changes on TinkerCad, you can print off the final product. If the dimensions are big/small enough to your liking than you are done! If not, you can repeat the steps above.
