So basically to start I went to the recycled wood pile that is in my school then I grabbed 3 pieces of wood. On of the pieces was a large and flat square, another piece was like the first piece just smaller ad thinner, and the last piece was i sort of thick square piece i used for the edges. You don't need to get exactly what I used but it would be better to have these things.

Preparing Your Wood

With that very large slab of wood your just going to keep it the way that it is and use it as a base. Then your going to take the thicker small slab of wood and cut it into equal small planks that you can then glue to the outsides of the base. With the smallest piece of wood your going to cut into very thin strips so then you could use it for the base to keep all the things you put on the shelf. I used wood glue for the whole project just to keep it simple and not have that much of a mess.

I just glued all of the border pieces to the outside while trimming edges that got too long. I also got some Styrofoam and glued it to the back so then it would look a bit cleaner, this step is optional tho. I let this sit overnight so then all of the wood glue can stay in place.

Finally i wood glued all of the shelves to the inside. I did this so then I could just have a base to put some small things on. i then sanded everything so then it would look cleaner and have a nice finish.

Thanks for Building!!
