Sexy Mystique Costume

Okay boys, this is what you've been waiting for. No leggings, skinny tops, tights, or other skin covering devil. Let's WATCH.

To get naked, painted, and be able to transform into anyone you ever wanted, you'll need:

- Blue paint (Sky blue).
- Blue paint (Dark blue).
- Airbrush.
- Air compressor.
- Foam sheets.
- Hot glue gun.
- Yellow contacts.
- Orange hair paint. (Spray, the ones used on partys).
- Liquid latex.
- Plastic sheet. (Any material you want, but must be thin and flexible, I used shower curtains.)

Now, take off your clothes..

Take a look at an actual photo of mystique, the one from the movies obviously. It will be your best inspiration to make your own. This is how I made my own:

Cut your plastic sheet in ovals, or other shape so you can attach them to each part of your body where mystique has scales, then put the plastic shape on a flat surface.
Cut your foam sheets in the shape of mystique's scales.
Glue them with hot glue to the plastic.

Instead of using foam board or if you are too lazy to cut one by one, you can use hot glue lines, blobs, or any shape you want directly on the plastic sheet, so when the hot glue dries the hot glue will be hard.

No need to paint the at this point, the ones in the pics are painted because they are post-halloween.

Again, look at a picture of Mystique so you can get the color right, it's the most important part. I've seen pictures where the blue is too light, and others where is too dark, and that color can ruin the costume completely, or make it brilliant.

Use a thong to cover your treasure, and cover your boobs with 2 brassiere cups. Use only the cups (previously cut from a bra) and glue them to your body with liquid latex. You can use fabric ones or the "Natual Bra" ones, your choice and your money. Glue the already-made scales to your body using liquid latex.

Mix the light blue and dark blue until you get the desired color. I used acrylic paint, specially designed for bodypaint. It's water soluble so if you mess up it's no big deal.

Grab the airbrush and fill it with your mix, and paint away!! Paint at a distance of 30cm aprox, so you can get an even color. Paint all the body, from toes to ears.

IMPORTANT: Remember to mix the paint with water! The paint itself is too thick to use the airbrush, and the airbrush will get plugged with paint.

The scales are a little darker than the rest of the body, so use a brush and paint the scales. You can use black paint mixed with the already blue mix you used on the body, it will look nice. You can also paint little dots and spots around the plastic sheets to make them "disappear" and make the scales even.

Use hair gel and water to comb your hair all the way back, like Mystique. Using the hair-special orange paint (spray), paint your hair.

Put the yellow contacts on. (Or you can do this first thing if you find it easier.)

YOU.ARE.DONE!!!

You can roam the streets of the city transforming into any passerby just to scare them.

The paint (at least the one I used) will not stain clothes or someone else's skin when dry, so you can get hugs and use jackets for the cold, you are naked after all.
