Sewing Machine Table Out of Ikea Ingatorp

I needed a larger surface to machine quilt a queen size quilt. We used an Ingatorp table for Ikea, it was not too expensive. The undersides of the table are just the right depth for the body of the sewing machine, but even if they were too deep it could be shimmed up.

First we measured around the machine and an inch or so more at the end for the cords. Then we cut it out.

We added two boards across the table bottom for the machine to rest on.
Slot the machine in and you are good to go!
