Sew Not a Problem!

Have you ever needed to have a quick stitch so your cuff will stay put? Or so the zipper will stay shut? Or sew on a button?

Well this morning I put on this dress, and the moment I turned it forward and put my arms through, the zipper would reopen (it having no clasp at the top and all).

After the second try I got fed up because I had places to be. I grabbed a needle and looked around for thread. Shit!

After a fruitless attempt at pulling a thread off an old shirt the only thing in sight was an unopened tampon.
Me, being the jerry-rig (or MacGyver) queen, I immediately saw my solution where others would see, well... a tampon.

The moral of this story is that if you are in need for a bit of thread, use a tampon.
I've attached pictures to illustrate how *not* crazy I am.

All you'll need is:
- a needle
- a tampon
- something to sew

I used a Tampax Pearl, with the braided string.

Step 1.

Unravel the braided bunch of strings.

Step 2.

Pick a single one and pull, while pushing the rest downward to isolate the one.

Step 3.

Thread your needle and cut to size.
Then do whatever it is you need to do.

And Voilà!
