Self Turning Car

16312231921765480505236343583035.jpg

Hello! How's everyone doing today? Welcome to another instructable! This teaches you how to build a self turning car. I can almost guarantee that it works. I have made one of these before and it somewhat worked. So let's get rolling!

Oh, hold up! A bit of information real quick.

This idea was made up. I got this idea after I built my self-turning truck, not on here. I decided I would make a self-turning car for you guys! With having to wait a while for more parts, I had to stop the build for that time until I got the pieces. I did not take it apart, but the phone stand from my previous 'ible is now being taken down due to some of those pieces being used. Those were not the parts I was waiting for, but they were worth using. The pieces I was waiting for were 100 green rods. I eventually got them and started using them that same day.

One last thing: If you notice, throughout the instructable pictures, the lighting may differ. This is because I built this either in the morning, afternoon, or evening with lights on due to it being dark outside. Taking many days to make and take pics, that is why the lighting is different. This cause may turn up in future 'ibles, so just giving you a heads up.

Alright enough talk, time to build!!

Now since this is a car and not a truck, it will be a bit hard. The back will be a little rectangular-ish. There's nothing I can do about it. The motor is RECOMMENDED (by me) to be the green one because if you do the gray motor, it will have a bit of stammering to move.

The middle will be for the seats and what not. Pic 8 has changes to the "behind the seats" wall. To securely close the doors, lock the y clips to the blue rod. I had to secure the doors during the build process. Pic 21 has a change to the roof.

This will be the front of the car part 1. The other part is for making the engine nose of the car. The seats will always be empty. The seats are probably the most simple to make. These are 2 seats. There isn't a middle seat for the front, but there is for the back seats. You can't tell, but it is 3 seats, like in a normal car. When you get to the picture of the attatched wheels on the car, change the middle blue connector to grey (see picture).

Although the motor is in the back, it's still good to see the engine in the front of the car. The hood pops up as well, so that's a bonus. Once to the 7th pic, change the middle yellow rod to what is shown in the picture. Yes there are lights! Wouldn't be a car without lights!

Sunroof

Now, the sunroof is not slidable, but you can take it off.

End

Drive it wherever it is possible (paved one way road with no cars, sidewalk, your driveway, etc.), but NOT in grass or water or rocks or stairs (it will break to pieces or the motor will be ruined if you do that). Smooth surfaces only!!!! If you need adjustments to make the car stable (I realized when I started turning it on the front wheels would always break), do it! The video was when I made adjustments to the car, so that is why it looked different.

Hope you enjoyed! Until ''knex" time, bye for now!
