Self Made Pumpkin Badges for Children
Hello everyone, today I'm going to be making cardboard pumpkin badges that are so easy to make so that your kids can make them easily and play with them. And the best thing is that they can make them themselves because they are so easy, and they will love a badge they make themselves.
Supplies
Cardboard
safety pins
pencil
scissors
tape
markers
First Take a Cardboard Piece
First step is to take a cardboard piece. Make sure it is bigger than your badge.
Make First Outline
Make a somewhat pumpkin like shape. However, you can make it. Don't worry if it doesn't look good right now.
Thicken the Lines and Make the Curves More Curvy
Now what I need you to do is to thicken all the lines you made before and while doing so make sure that you make all the curves as curvy as you can. Pumpkins don't have straight lines, they have curves.
Make the Stem
Now make a stem for the pumpkin. again, it doesn't matter if it doesn't look good right now.
Now Make the Curvy Lines Inside the Pumpkin
You know how a pumpkin look, so make those lines.
Thicken Those Lines
Once you're done, make sure to thicken those lines as well.
Make the Eyes
Now make a rough outline of the eyes.
Now the Mouth
Make a rough outline for the mouth. This is just going to be a thick curved line, making a smile.
Don't make the pupils right now, only the outline of the eyes.
Add More Details If You Want To
If You want to add more details, then you can add them in this step.
Pupils
Now to make the pupils for the eyes.
Make two circles in the eyes. One big and one small.
The big circle should be below the smaller circle, and the smaller circle should be touching one side of the eye.
Fill the Eyes
Now fill the inside of the eyes, leaving out the pupils.
Now Make Outline With Marker
Now what you need to do is to finalize everything and make all outlines with a marker.
You may need to use a thin tip marker for the eyes and a thick tip for the rest of the drawing.
Erase Pencil
Now erase the pencil, so only the marker is visible.
Colour!
This is time to colour our drawing!
You can use any colours you want. But I recommend not to use Sketch colours on cardboard. Unless you're using a white cardboard.
But a good thing about cardboard is that you can also use pencil colours on cardboard and that is exactly what I used. You can also use crayons.
Cut Out the Pumpkin
Now grab your scissors and cut out your pumpkin from that cardboard.
Take One Safety Pin and Tape
Now take one safety pin and tape.
Stick the Safety Pin to the Badge
Now, using the tape, stick the safety pin to the back of the pumpkin badge.
And it's ready!!!
