Craft Rough Stones
Work required: 1hr / 100 stones
- Form small clay balls;
- Put plastic wrap on both molds
- Press hard so each stone easily detaches from excess clay. Watch out for excess clay: in the photo above, you can see some stones have protruding clay. You should avoid that.
- Lay them on the cloth / towel to avoid making them deform under their own weight.
- Wait for stones to be completely dry before going to next step (this could take up to 2 days)
Tumble
Work required: 20 minutes / 100 stones
- Put 100 stones in the plastic jar, together with 25ml / 5 teaspoons of water.
- Roll the jar for 10 minutes. Stones should have a regular shape by now, but the texture might still be a bit rough.
- Put the stones back on the towel
- Wait for stones to be just damp on the surface
- Put the stones back in the jar (without adding water)
- Tumble again for 5 minutes. Stones should have a very smooth surface by now
- Wait for stones to be completely dry
Paint
Work required: 20 minutes / 100 stones
- Spray paint the stones on one side (including edges)
- Wait for paint to dry
- Flip the stones and paint the other side
- Wait for paint to dry
