Supplies
- Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 2019 Quad Core 64 Bit WiFi Bluetooth (4GB)
- CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4 Power Supply (USB-C)
- PI4 Aluminum case with Fan & Heatsinks
- SanDisk 32GB Ultra microSDHC UHS-I Memory Card
- Mediabridge Ethernet Cable (10 Feet) - Supports Cat6
- Note you'll also need a USB mouse and Keyboard if you don't already have a set
Setup Hardware


- Assemble using instructions included with Aluminum case and power supply, leave the Micro SDHC card out for now, and don't supply power to the Raspberry PI yet
- Connect USB Mouse & Keyboard
- Connect a HDMI Monitor
- Connect network cable to your existing internet router
And yes I know the heatsinks aren't aligned properly, I'm not very happy about it, but it does work. I used the kit supplied double sided tape, I plan to use proper thermal paste in the future.
Prepare MicroSDHC Memory Card

- Download RaspBerry Raspbian with desktop https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/
- balenaEtcher is a graphical SD card writing tool that works on Mac OS, Linux and Windows, and is the easiest option for most users. balenaEtcher also supports writing images directly from the zip file, without any unzipping required. To write your image with balenaEtcher
- Download the latest version of balenaEtcher https://www.balena.io/etcher/ and install it.
- Connect an SD card reader with the SD card inside.
- Open balenaEtcher and select from your hard drive the Raspberry Pi .img or .zip file you wish to write to the SD card.
- Select the SD card you wish to write your image to.
- Review your selections and click 'Flash!' to begin writing data to the SD card.
