Secret Usb Highlighter

A quick 5 minute job to create a secret usb pen drive.

Find a Suitable Pen

Take a standard highlighter; It doesn't necessarily need to be a highlighter it could be any writing implement that has large enough void to insert a standard USB drive.

Prepare USB Drive

Wrap a USB drive with electrical tape to increase the size so as to sit snug into the void inside the highlighter pen.

Remove Ink From Pen

Now snap open the top of the highlighter pen and remove the ink well from the pens body.

Seal Top

Now you will need to seal the exposed ink stick. You do this for two reasons; one, to ensure ink does not damage the USB stick and two, so that the nib of the pen will not dry out and become unusable. We want to keep the pen in use-able condition once we re-assemble.

Insert USB

Now to insert the USB into the body of the pen; filling the void left by the ink well we removed earlier.

Re-assemble the Pen

Now put all components back together.

Ready to Use

The pen is ready to use :) I have installed a usb version of linux called 'Tails' onto my drive so that I can access anybody's computer without them knowing I have been on it.

Other great uses for this are as follows:

- Hide secret files

-Keep save valuable info
