Secret Shell Mini-Bread - a Coastal Delight

There is a really funny story with this 'Secret Shell Mini-Bread'. I'm really excited to share this here.
Kids love delicious food with variety. Last week I was putting all my thoughts on some creative ideas for this 'Bread' Challenge. I finally came up with a wonderful idea and make all the preparations. Worked hard and read what happened at the end :-)
Supplies
For the cover
1. 1 cup milk
2. 2 tbsp sugar
3. 1 spoon salt
4. 3 cups all-purpose flour
5. 1 tsp salt
6. 1 tsp Dry Yeast
7. 1 tbsp butter
8. Baking oven
9. Rolling base and pin
10. Fork
11. Cling warp
For the filling
1. Fresh grated coconut (1 cup)
2. Walnuts (1/4 cup)
3. Almonds (1/4 cup)
4. Raisins (1/4 cup)
5. Dates (1/4 cup)
6. Sugar (3/4 cup)
7. Cinnamon Power (1/2 cup) - Optional
Make the Bread Cover

I started with 1 cup or warm milk. Added 2 tbsp sugar. Then immediately added 1 tsp dry yeast. Rest and proof for 10 minutes for the yeast to activate ((pic 1). Added 3 cups all-purpose flour and salt and sieved all this together. Kneaded the flour (pic 6). Covered with a cling-wrap and let it sit for 1 hour in a warm place (pic 7). After 1 hour the kneaded flour had risen to almost double. Kneaded this again for 10-12 minutes with 1 tbps of melted butter and now it is ready (pic 8)
Make the Filling Balls

I cut almonds, walnuts and fresh dates into small pieces (pic 1). Then mixed all the together along with the sugar and 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon powder and warmed it up in the over for 3-5 minutes. This helped the sugar melt slightly and act as a binding agent. Then, I made balls of this dry fruits filling mixture.
Getting the Shell Ready

In this step, I took a small piece of all-purpose flour and rolled it into an oval shape (pic 3). Then I added dots or poked with the fork (pic 4, 5, 6 & 7). Finally I pinched in the center (pic 8). Flipped it over and folded the top half onto the bottom (pic 9).
Fill in the Shell (with the Pearl - Nutty Ball)

Then I added this some cute nutty ball into this shell (pics 3 & 4) and sealed the sides with some water (see pic 4). Let it rest for 20 minutes and covered with a cloth. Later baked in the over at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. As soon as done, I pulled them out and let it rest on the cooling racks. I made a few with different shapes and wanted to save few shell-shaped for this project.
By the time I returned back into the kitchen to check on my project and take some pictures, all were gone. I mean the kids ate them all. Only 2 pieces (pic barely stayed back on the tray and in no time they were gone. Honestly I'm not upset that I wasn't able to take a final picture for submission, but I'm very happy that the kids enjoyed this new stylish 'Secret Shell Mini-Bread - A Coastal Delight' new recipe on my list.
