Seatbelt buckle key holder Somewhere to store keys, and it's fun to make.

Supplies

1.) some old seatbelt buckles from a local junk yard out of junk cars.

2.) some screws to hold it together and hot glue.

3.) fabric tape or paint to decorate it and some letters off junk cars if wanted or stencils.

4.) 2 thin wood pieces—paint stir sticks would work, or pallet wood from a local furniture factory or scraps you may have lying around.

5.) screwdriver

6.) pencil

First, I hold my seat belt buckles where i want them to be placed up against one of the pieces of wood and mark the outlines with a pencil. Make sure both pieces of wood are the same length. One is to decorate the front and the second is to screw the buckles on and fasten them together.

Then you take the other piece of wood and you can either paint the wood or decorate it however you would like. You can glue the letters on if you have any. This piece will be the front piece.

On the piece you outlined, turn the buckles over so that they are facing the button towards the floor and line them up with the outline you drew out. Now screw them to the outlined board. Then, with the front piece on the other side of the buckles, making sure that they are nicely placed where you want between the wood pieces, screw the two wood pieces together. Make sure the buckles are turned the right facing direction after you are done and are right side up to match the painted front you decorated.

Now that it is all together, find the center of the seatbelts and place a screw in the middle and fasten it to wherever in your house you would like to place your new keychain holder. and you can put the buckle plate part on your sets of keys so they can be stored when you don't need them.
