Seat Belt Cover
Ever have that problem where your seat belt digs into your neck? I'm pretty sure height has something to do with it. Well I have that problem and I came across a pattern on ravelry.com that I thought was pure genius. I changed the pattern around a bit, but here's the original: http://www.marthawinger.com/blog/2011/06/crochet-s...
If you don't know how to crochet I'm sure you could probably sew one that works just as well. All it really is is a cover to go over your seat belt to cushion where your neck rubs on the belt. This project is perfect for beginners in crochet.
The Pattern
chain 30
row 1: dc in 2nd chain from hook and continue at the end of the of the row chain 2 and turn
row 2- 10: dc in every stitch. at the end of row 10 join a new color of your choice and chain 1 and turn
row 11: sc in every stitch chain 1 and turn row 12: sc in the first 5 stitches, then chain 2 and skip two stitches. sc for the remaining 15 stitches, then chain 2 and skip two stitches. sc in the rest and then slipstitch.
Tuck in any loose strands.
Wrap your crocheted work around the seat belt and find our where to sew on the buttons.
