This project was inspired from my 2023 summer vacation which I went scuba diving. I was captivated by the beauty of marine nature and wanted to recreate that beauty into my design.
This project was created as a course assignment at the California State University, Long Beach; taught by Behnaz Farahi: DESN 551: Materials, Tools, and Techniques of Prototype.

I used MidJourney, Rhino, Grasshopper, and then it is printed with a resin PolyJet printer.
Generating Images From Mid Journey

I generated images by typing different prompts in MidJourney and choosing one to move forward with.
Translating MidJourney Image Into an Object
![eeee.PNG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FGJ/X0KD/LNEMAK87/FGJX0KDLNEMAK87.png&filename=eeee.PNG)
![eeeee.PNG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FEN/K9OC/LNEMAK7V/FENK9OCLNEMAK7V.png&filename=eeeee.PNG)
Using Grasshopper, I translated the image from 2D into a 3D object.
During the process, I experimented with different surfaces and made multiple modifications.
Aggregating the Object Into Clusters

I turned the 3D object and arrange them into a cluster with different patterns using surface aggregation.
I experimented with different surfaces and made modifications in Grasshopper to create multiple clusters and find the best one.

The final step is to sent the file to the PolyJet Printer.
This is the final result.
