Hello friends, hope every one is doing good.

Couple of months before my Brother brought me few sheets of copper foils and i don't wanna scrap it, so i planned to make a normal statues to look like a antique piece with help of this copper sheets. and it came very well, so i just started making more of these statues and sell them to my friends and also gifted to my close ones.

The response to this Art work was good so i just wanna share my knowledge and teach you how to make this antique statues.

For making this Antique Buddha statue we need

1, pen

2, Copper foil sheets

3, Quick fix solution or any kind of instant adhesives

4,Any kind of Buddha statue or what ever statues you like.

5, Steel rod with Round Edge (Embossing tools would be better)

Roughly Sculpt the Shape

1, Place the copper sheet on top of the statue and try to press with your fingers to ensure the sheet fits properly in face Refer Image 1.

2, Then with the help of pen or Embossing tools we need to rub the copper sheet slowly to capture the rough shape of the statue Refer Image 2 and 3.

Sculpting the Details of Statue

1, Once we get the rough shape of statue then we need to capture the smallest details of the statue. for example - nose, eyes, lips Etc.

2, I don't have embossing tools so i just used a 2mm steel rod with round edge to capture the tiny details.

3, Do not put more pressure while rubbing which will result in damage in copper sheet or it may tare.

Note: Copper is capable of adapting to any shape and easy to work with, so we can use this for embossing, or making statues.

Divide the Sculpture and Capture the Shape

1, Do not make bigger parts, try to divide the sculpture so that it will be easy to capture everything.

2, Here in my case i just sculpted the Buddha head with top side and backside individually Refer Image 3 to 5.

Attach the Individual Parts From Top to Bottom

1, Start with Top, Attach the Front and Backside panels with help of instant Adhesives.

Final Shape of Statue

1, Once you attach one by one you can see the actual shape of Buddha Face clearly.

2, Be gentle because the sculpture will be hollow so if you put more pressure the statue may lose its shape.

3, So using this technique you can convert any wooden, metal, plastic or stone sculptures to look like a Antique art.

Make It Strong

1, Since the Statue will be hollow i have filled it with the White cement so that the Statue will be strong and firm. we can use cement, or POP, see Image 1.

Now the statue is ready and we can keep this near our small fountain or under the Bonsai tree or even at our meditation room.
