Screw Pie

Okay this is kind of a joke I know but I was so amused I decided to share it with the wonderful instructables community. This is something fun you can do with those pounds of recycled screws that, if you are like me, you surely have sitting around in a bucket somewhere. And in the process perhaps you can send an innovative message somewhere. I know a lot of people.

Supplies

Mod Podge

screws

pie pan

parchment paper

transparent paint

Pour a bunch of screws into a pie pan. Use some parchment paper to keep it from permanently sticking. Cover the assortment with Mod Podge and mix together.

Tamp Them Down in Pan

This is pretty self explanatory and I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. I like to tamp down the whole mess with the bottom of my Mod Podge container. Trim edges of parchment paper.

Cut Down Edges and Paint If Desired.

Lastly I trimmed it all up and threw some stained glass paint on it, hoping the screws would remain visible after leaving it in the sun for a couple of days. And voila! Instant Screw Pie. You will have something looking much like the first introduction picture after is dries. Now you can impersonate your favorite government official and send one to your constituents. HA HA. It will certainly be more effective than a cream pie if you threw it in someone's face too-- but please don't do that. I'd sure like to toss one at that clown in the White House though.
