I am new to welding and this is my first project. I collect anything I "know I will find a use for" and my garage was getting a bit full. I began a welding class through the local arts institute and decided to 'clean' my garage a bit. I found cobblers shoe forms, rusty chain, old saw blade, vintage gauge and some other odds and ends.

I welded the chain legs straight and then attached the cobblers shoe forms. Leveling the saw blade was not the easiest task for a newbie, but with some suggestions from my instructor and a very nice chop saw, we got it done.

I had a great time making this lamp and learned a lot by having to grind off bad welds along with redoing crooked welds. It turned out great and I love it!!!! I hope you do too.
