Scrapbookin' Photo Templates

This is something I'd made a couple years ago to help speed up cropping of photos. My daughter went to a "Craft Day" at someone else's house and took my template set with her. It went over BIG! A couple weeks later, I went to Craft Day and took extra sets with me as gifts for everyone. My kids suggested I make it into an Instructable.

• Clear, White Plastic works best but Cardboard or Colored Plastic would work too

• Cutting mat or square
• Scissors or cutting knife
• Marker
• Ruler
• Ring or safety pin *
• Punch

* Note: I used kilt pins because I thought they were cute.

Just as an example, I used cardboard. The different sizes I measured were 2 in.x2 in., 3 in.x3 in., 1 3/4 in.x4 in., 2 1/2 inch circle, 3 in.x 4 in., and 4 in x 6 in.

You could use different sizes but these are the most common sizes I crop photo before adding them to the scrapbook layout.

Note: If you don't have a compass (or just don't want to use one!) you can use a cookie cutter, a roll of tape.

My Dad and my husband both say, "Measure twice, cut once!

Rudimentary marks are shown here. I draw the complete line I want to cut, just to be sure. On my set, I used a pink marker because it was the first Sharpie I grabbed, but now it makes it look decorative!

This is to attach your ring or pin and keep all your templates together.
