Scrabble Lovers Key Hookrail

Mother's Day is coming up and I wanted to create something special for my mom. I recently found an old scrabble game that someone discarded and thought it would be fun to use it to make the gift. My mom is an avid scrabble player, so this is going to be perfect.

Supplies

2 pieces of 8X10 foam core

gold spray paint

favorite photograph

ruler

pencil

exacto blade

hot glue gun

medium binder clip

scrabble pieces, (letters and letter rack)

4 cup hooks

Measure the foam core to be the size of the scrabble letter rack. Using the exact blade cut both pieces the same size.

Then cut in one piece the opening for the photograph to create a small frame.

Spraypaint

Spray the frame pieces and the binder clip

Insert Photo

tape the photo to the wrong side of the foam core with photo facing out. Use the hot glue gun to glue the front and back pieces of foam core together.

Add Hooks

space the hooks evenly along the edge of the letter tray and screw them in. Then using the hot glue gun attach the hooks to the bottom edge of the frame. Also clip the binder clip on the top edge. This will be used as a hanger.

Again use the hot glue gun to arrange the scrabble letters to your Hookrail. I chose to glue them haphazardly (?)

You my decide to spell words...be creative and have fun!
