In this instructable, we will be making a rain gauge for school projects or just for fun. You will be able to study the amount of rain you got. It is an easy and simple project for fo all ages ( if under 7 I recommend adult supervision).

First, take your plastic water bottle and take the cap off. Then take your plastic funnel and place the bottom of it inside the bottle. Then tape the funnel and the bottle together. This will allow the rainwater to go into the bottle.

Then take the Kitchen Skewer and tape it about 4 inches above the bottom of the bottle. So you can stick it in the ground when you want to use it.

Then take a strip of tape and measure the amount you want. After that write decide the number of inches you want your rain gauge to measure and write down the inches on the tape. Then place the tape on the rain gauge.

Then if you want (this is optional) you can decorate it to your pleasing

After that plant it in the ground and wait for it to rain.

(This is my first instructable let me know how I did in the comments)

ENJOY!!!!
