Scarab is an autonomous pest control system that goes where its owner can’t and negates the need for indiscriminate fumigation or chemical use. With a low vertical profile, the scarab drones are designed to fit within the spaces under floors and between walls, as well as under furniture. Their sensor bank enables them to seek out the type of pest set by the user before delivering a localised burst of pesticide, combining efficacy with containment and minimising the risk of user contact with the chemicals. The hive base station offers housing for up to six drones, charging them through an induction plate and refilling the drones from a central chemical reservoir. The result is an independent system that operates continuously, one which can be maintained and deployed by control agencies for a minimally invasive solution to pest control.
