Save Desert Rose Seeds

This is just a simple instruction post to help you store your adenium desert rose seeds properly. Seeds in general, if not stored carefully, have much lower germination rates. You can keep them fresh with some simple tools & tips.

Supplies

  • A mason jar
  • Package of desiccant

Get Your Supplies

A tight-lid mason jar works best for storing your seeds. Ideally, you can place a package of desiccant in the jar. This helps suck up any excess moisture that could ruin our little treasures.

Find a Good Place

Put your jar away in a dark place. Direct exposure to sunlight might harm the baby seeds. The ideal storage temperature should be from 86F (30C) below. Your drawer is a good place. The cupboard in the kitchen also works.

Sow the Seeds

When the weather is nice & favorable, you can take the seeds out and sow them. The best storage duration is from 3-6 months. Older than this, the seeds might not have a high chance to sprout. Good luck!
