Satin fabric has been really useful for making jewelries, like- earrings, finger rings, necklace flower. This time I was on for satin flower hair accessories. I had loads of satin fabrics, so couldn't wait to make some floral hair clips.
These pretty satin flower hair clips are perfect for weddings! They can also be lovely gift for loved ones. These clips are fairly easy to make and won't cost much.
Follow this ible to find out how I made these clips :)

Cutting
You'll have to cut 16 round pieces out of satin fabric to create the flower. You can come up with a pattern of your own. It's easy once you get handy with satin flower making techniques.
Cut a small round piece of satin fabric for the base. You'll have to stitch the rest of the pieces on this piece (base),
For the first layer cut 6 round pieces of the same size out of satin fabric,
For the second layer cut 4 round pieces of the same size but slightly smaller than the pieces of the first layer,
For the center, cut round pieces (or as many as you want) of different sizes, one smaller than the other, as you'll have to arrange them by placing the larger ones on the bottom and smaller ones on top.

Burning
After you're done cutting all the round pieces for the flower, it's time to burn their sides.
Use a lighter but it's better to use candle.
Carefully burn the sides of the base and make sure its edge doesn't curl,
But, for the rest of the pieces curled edges is a must! It will give the flower a pretty blooming look.

Making the Flower
Prepare your needle and thread.
Start stitching the 6 pieces of the first layer (all around) on the base, see first picture of this step.
Now stitch the 4 pieces of the second layer,
And finally the center part.
To complete the flower, add beads on the center piece as you want.

Attaching the Clip
After making a few clips using fleece fabric I realized that it's better to use felt fabric for this clip.
Anyways, Cut a small round shape of felt/ fleece fabric,
Make 2 small cuts on it (see the second picture of this step),
Insert the round felt/ fleece fabric into the clip through the cuts (as shown in the 3rd picture of this step) and glue it with the clip.
Now, simply attach the flower on top of the felt/ fleece fabric using glue (white glue or hot glue).
There, done :) use bright color satin fabrics to make these flowers, they turn out real cute! The more layers the more prettier they turn out.
Enjoy
