Cuckoo Clock
This is my Santa Cuckoo Clock. I made this clock because I just love clocks. I have so many and I wanted to make one. I have always taken from this community and now it is my turn to give back.
Supplies
You will need to have parts already 3d printed. You will also need some rubber bands. This clock might tell time. I am a clock guru and made it because it looked cool. You will also need some screws to hold the gear in place. You can also download the file and use it for VFX like in a short file or animation. You will also need some superglue. You will need some yar or string. Let's dive right in.

Blender
You first need to go into blender. I know this is Autodesk so you can choose to use inventor or blender. I used Blender for this one.
Create a Cylinder
You're going to need a cylinder for this project. You're going to need more than one but it is good to start with a simple component. You also can make the screws. I made some in their for you though.
Escapement Wheel and Pendulum
After making the cylinder you can make a escapement wheel but I recommend getting one online.
Gears Gears Gears
You can also make the gears, I chose to get the gears on an an online website I have heard of. I heard that there is a Blender add on that you can get that lets you make gears. I believe the discontinued that service because I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it.
Gears Gears, I Love Gears, Part 2
In this step you will need to really love gears and have a lot of tolerance. I couldn't stand this step because I thought that I had no way to test if they worked besides 3D Printing them. There is a way. You can add a constraint to the object and make it copy rotation. Then you can set your target object on the object that is your power source. You will need to invert the X, or Y, or Z axis to maker the gears spin in the right direction. I added the same size gear to the escapement Wheel for the second hand. Then I did gear reduction to get the minute hand and then the hour hand.
Make the Dial and Hands
Again, you can make the dial and the hands but you can also get them (what I did). I scaled them and then used the same design for the Minute, Second, and Hour hands. I also made the pendulum for this clock a Santa Claus, who doesn't like Santa Claus? I believe that the weight of the Santa with full infill would be enough to keep the clock going. The pendulum rod I also got.
Weight
We're almost done! We just need to add the weight gear and the weight. The weight can be just a simple hallowed out cylinder with a torus on top for the loop. You will need to cut the cylinder in half to fill it with nuts, bolt, sand, whatever you like.
Finish!
Yes, we finished! Now all you have to do is 3D print all the parts and hand this up on your wall.
