Here is a yummy dessert that is a household favorite and something that my girlfriend and I love making when we have spare time at the end of the day. The decadent mix of caramel and rich chocolate melts in your mouth with every bite and will leave you wanting more! This can be done in 12 easy-to-follow steps and will take about 40-45 minutes.

Supplies

  1. Salted Caramel Brownie Mix
  2. Mixing Bowl
  3. Wooden Spoon
  4. Measuring Cup or Measuring Cup Set
  5. 1 Egg needed for Recipe
  6. Vegetable Oil
  7. 10" by 7" Baking Pan
  8. Toothpick

Preheat Oven to 325 Degrees Farenheit

Step 1: For this step, all you need to do is make sure your oven is preheating to 325°F while you are prepping the brownie batter, so it will be ready to pop in the oven when you are done mixing the batter.

Empty Powder Mix Into Mixing Bowl

For Step Two, you want to start by emptying the powder mix into your mixing bowl. I would recommend using a 1-3-quart-sized micing bowl.

Add 1 Cup of Water to the Power

For this step, you will pour one cup of water into the powder to be mixed in. Including water in your dry mix baking is crucial to getting the powder to mix well with the other ingredients and providing a good consistency throughout the pan.

Add 1/4th Cup Vegetable Oil

For Step 4, you will need to add 1/4 cup of Vegetable Oil to your mixture of powder and water. Oil works as a binder and absorbs the sugar and fat, providing the chewy, rich texture that separates brownies from other baked goods like cake, which have a more fluffy texture.

Crack One Egg Into the Mix

Step 5 will be to crack one egg into the mix. This is the last ingredient to add before we can mix and start baking, almost there! The egg will also act as a binder and help to provide the smooth consistency of the batter as the yolk helps to bring the powder and liquids together.

Mix the Ingredients!

With your wooden spoon, mix the ingredients in the bowl until you see all of the powder dissolved into the mix, and into a liquid form, then mix until you reach the consistency pictured above.

Prep Baking Pan

Prep your baking pan by drizzling a light layer of vegetable oil across the pan. This will help, because it will allow your batter to bind slightly above the glass surface on the oil and help to prevent the brownies from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Pour Batter Into Baking Tray

After you prep the baking tray, pour the contents of the mixing bowl into your baking pan until it forms a nice level layer across the pan.

Use your scissors to cut the corner off the caramel packet so it can be drizzled onto the brownie mix.

Spread Caramel Onto Brownie Mix

When you finish setting the chocolate mix and open the caramel packet, squeeze the caramel out onto the chocolate batter in any design or pattern of your choosing.

Mix Caramel Into Brownie Batter

With a toothpick or utensil of your choosing, mix the batter evenly until you get the spread of your choosing between the chocolate and caramel.

Bake at 325 Degrees Fahrenheit for 35 Minutes

Once the Brownie and Caramel mix has been evenly spread, place it in the center of the top rack, and start the timer for 35 minutes!

Enjoy!
