Today we will learn a very interesting project that will serve as a base circuit for more innovative projects. It is the sound detector through an SCR.

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM

Like all my projects, I share the schematic diagram so that you can do it yourself. The schematic diagram was designed in EASYEDA, a very professional and free electronic circuit design software, we can observe the electronic components that we use for this project and their respective values.

FUNCTIONING

The sound sensor circuit, as its name says, is a circuit that turns on when a sound wave is perceived, to assemble the circuit it is necessary to have a breadboard, who is in charge of joining the circuit, it should be noted, in case of not having the breadboard, you can connect the components by means of soldering, in turn, you must have a silicon controlled rectifier, better known as an SCR C106, an electre microphone who receives the waves.

You must have two resistors, one of them must be 10K and the other 1K, likewise, it is necessary to have a push button and a 100K potentiometer, which is responsible for measuring the differences in electrical potential and last but not less important, we must have a 5 to 12 volt battery and the circuit diagram.

How to connect or connect the sound sensor circuit

Firstly, the SCR C106 is inserted in the center of the breadboard, then the potentiometer is placed, in the same way the push button is placed at one point, followed by the 1K resistor joining one of the resistor legs to the Right leg of SCR C106, the other leg of the 1K resistor is attached to one of the legs of the 10K resistor, similarly, the leftover leg of the 10K resistor is attached to the center leg of the potentiometer.

Then we proceed to install the electre microphone which, the positive part is assembled with the two legs of the resistors and the negative part of this is connected to the negative part of the breadboard, then a cable is connected from the left leg of the SCR to the negative part of the breadboard and we connect any of the legs of the potentiometer to the positive side of the breadboard, a cable is connected from the left leg of the SCR to the push button and the other leg of the push button to the central part of the SCR.
