smoke final logo.jpg

In the following project we are going to make a soldering fume extractor . A solder fume extractor is a device which sucks the fumes which comes out when we do solder to any circuit. Those fumes are very much dangerous to anyone's health so be sure to use such a device

1.CPU fan

2.cardboard or foam board

3.Foam Block

4.soldering iron

5.hot glue gun

6.LED

i have used the the foam board to create the base of this fume extractor

the basic thing here is i have cut the two base panel of same size then four side panel

In the top panel i have created a hole so that i can pass through the wires of the fan .

and in the back side panel i have created a cavity so that my dc jack can fit in that gap as shown in the following pictures.

at the last a small amount of hot glue to the dc jack so that it can not move side.

ADDING POWER SUPPLY

The cpu fan usually will have two wires RED and BLACK

the red wire is the positive one and the blue wire is negative one

the polarity diagram of the dc jack is given in the pictures above and you can connect the wires as

RED---------(+ve)

BLACK------(-ve)

Now cut the foam as shown in the video

For the measurements you can cut to the rough size and then cut that according to the size of the fan.

use some more hot glue to secure everything in the place

At the last just plug your 12v power supply to it and use this awesome device
