SImple Tesla Coil

WIN_20241014_21_47_07_Pro.jpg

Hello, my name is Gavin Hummel and I discovered a new and SIMPLE way to make a tesla coil. Also note, I am 13 years old so DO NOT BULLY ME 💀

Supplies

You will need:

  1. Two DC motors (Switching)
  2. Capacitors (Optional)
  3. Thick copper wire (Primary Coil)
  4. Thinner copper wire (Secondary)
  5. LED (Testing if circuit works)
  6. Diode (Its a diode)

These items/components are pretty much everything you need.

The Schematic

This is the schematic; yes.

The primary coil will be around 3-5 turns.

The secondary coil must be at least 100 turns. I prefer 200 turns.

The DC motor connected to the tesla coil will be switching on and off.

Cut the DC Motor

Check out this instructable to see how to cut a dc motor:

Connect

Well its obvious, you follow the schematic and BOOM! You did it!

In order to make a coil for the LED, just make a coil around 3 turns and connect your LED to it. You may add capacitors if you wish just to make it so that it does not blink; filter.
