-- THIS IS A CONCEPT DESIGN -- Technology is advancing in a pace like never before. Artificial Intelligence has came in to every aspect of our life, right from our home to even the high end industries. Imagine what would happen if these modern technologies are used for the wrong cause! The results would be disastrous! The need for security is increasing day by day. That's where we need a robot assistant to watch over our assets. The SG-Rover (We'll call him SGR in short) is designed to watch over your home, office or any other asset you want to monitor. It can even do simpler tasks like watching over your pet to alerting you when your baby wakes up. Let's have a look at the features of the SG-Rover. It comes with a Rocker-Bogie all-terrain body design - which is inspired from NASA's mars rovers, it allows the robot to move freely over most of the obstacles. It will also allow it to climb up/down stairs or even go through harsh off-road tracks out of your home. It has six all terrain wheels which enables it to move through any rough surface without much hassle. The entire body is made of carbon fiber to reduce the weight without compromising the strength of the body. The SGR is fitted with two high resolution cameras in it's front panel. Each camera is designed for different lightning conditions. One of them is used for capturing high resolution footage during the day where there is sunlight and the other camera is used especially during night/low-light conditions. It comes with a LIDAR. A LIDAR is a radar system which uses lasers for scanning the surroundings. The SGR is equipped with a high in range - high in accuracy - super fast LIDAR which will constantly and continuously scan the surrounding environment for any suspicious activity. SGR has an advanced indoor and outdoor positioning system to track it's position in your home or surroundings. It scans and stores all the 3D data it detects while it roam around your home and thus it will create a 3D map of your home and surroundings. The user can access this map and can customize SGR's patrol routes or areas to monitor. SGR has a state of the art face recognition system. It uses image processing with 3D scanning technology to sense around it's environment. The user can register the face and body of his family to the SGR's safe list and it is smart enough to recognize all the registered people from others. SGR has an array of proximity sensors around it to detect even the slightest of movements. It also has some low voltage ultrasonic sensors hidden inside the case to take over the work of the LIDAR when it goes to stand-by mode. The SGR has a web connectivity feature, which allows the user to monitor and control it's activities through the internet from anywhere on the earth. Fire and accident detection - The SGR can also detect if your asset is being damaged by fire or any other accidents. It will immediately alert you in such cases. Security Features : The SGR can work as a node in your home security network. That means the user can program the SGR to take some action when it detects an intruder or any suspicious activity. Some of the activities that the user can program into SGR for example are: 1. Sound the burglar alarm. 2. Alert police or local law enforcement authority. 3. Lock all the gates. 4. Trigger the fire alarm. 5. capture the photos and videos of the intrusion and upload it. 6. And in the worst case it can even try to electrocute the intruder to capture him. So this is only an introduction of the things the SG-Rover Watchdog robot can do. This is a fully programmable robot. The user can make it do whatever with the output. The SG-Rover guarantees security by monitoring your assets continuously with it's cutting edge sensing technologies. I hope you enjoyed reading a fragment of my imagination. This is my first design with the Autodesk Fusion 360. I've tried my best to design a 3D model which fits the description stated above.
