Ruler Rubber Band Shooter

This is a rubber band shooter. Use it wisely and don’t hit people with it.

For this project, you will need scotch tape, a rubber band, a wooden clip with a pin, and a ruler.

Attach the clip to the ruler by sticking the pin into the end of the ruler. (Leave some space at the end of the ruler)

For safety, add your scotch tape on the other end of the pin, as most pins will poke all the way through the ruler, which would not be good if you are holding the ruler near the end of the pin. (Add multiple layers of tape)

Open the clip and put the rubber band in between the two pinchers.

Now, attach the other end of the rubber band to the other end of the ruler, stretching the band and putting tension on it.

To release and shoot the rubber band, grab the ruler with your dominant hand, with your weak hand holding up the other end of the ruler like a rifle. To shoot, press down to open the clip and release the rubber band. (To increase your aim, close one eye and put your other eye next to the end of the ruler. Then, put the other end of the ruler under your target)
