Rotatable Character Switch Game

Example of how it should look after built.PNG

I got the idea after I saw the contest and one of the categories was Tinker and play; Any project which encourages creativity and play. So I thought maybe we could make a toy where you switch out parts to create different characters or even add parts of your own by making a model. So in this Instructable I will show you how to create a simple design of the Rotatable Character Switch Game.

I decided to enlarge the cylinder so it would fit the orange tubes fully.PNG

Start of with a cylinder and make it as thick enough that it will be able to hold a tube but at the same time making it less wobbly. Also add 4 tubes and color them to your choice. Add a base plate to later stick on the cylinder. Add a cone on the top of the cylinder.

Somewhat final result after putting together.PNG

(the cylinder is thin since I took this screenshot before making it thick)The result after putting everything together should look like this.

Completedd making 2 faces.PNG

Create a cylinder that is thin then add a face on it. Make 2-4 faces of your choice. It could even be animals.

Completed one segment of body.PNG

Then you may attach them to your tube.

completed torso.PNG

Make Torso for the characters. You could use a cube and make it thin. Then add shapes with different colors to make patterns for the Torso. You may also use the hand model or make one of your own too. Attach these Torso their respective tube.

completed pants.PNG

Make pants for your characters. Please remember to make them thin.

completed pants capsule.PNG

Attach the pants to the respective tube.

Leg capsule completed.PNG

Create legs for your character. you may use the in-built assets try making your own legs for the character. Make sure to make the legs thin so they don't stick out a lot or it may make the toy fall over.

You may print this.PNG

Finally you may lay out your tubes and cylinders and export and print the toy using 3d printer. After which you may assemble it. First add the heads through the cylinder, then the torso, the pants, the legs, then finally paste the little cylinder we made to the bottom with glue to hold the structure together.
